Delta and Estuarine Risk and Resilience in changing climate session success at EGU2023

Dr Indrajit Pal and Dr Anirban Mukhopadhyay, Hub members from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) conducted a Living Deltas Hub-oriented session at the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly 2023 in Vienna, Austria. The session NH11.3 Delta and Estuarine Risk and Resilience in changing climate, was also convened onsite and online by Jens Ehn (University of Manitoba, Canada) and Mohammad Heidarzadeh (online) (University of Bath, UK).

The session contributed a number interesting oral presentations and poster sessions both onsite in person and online with a total of nineteen oral presentations and ten poster presentations. Presentations covered various topics on delta socio-ecological system issues, livelihoods and resilience, biogeochemistry, geophysical modelling, and many more.

The EGU General Assembly 2023 is one of the largest platforms with over 18,000 scientists and scholars in attendance across the globe, so was a great opportunity for disseminating Hub knowledge.
