I started my career as a coastal geomorphologist and gradually switched over to ICZM practitioner, exposed to the human-environment linkage. I was involved in several multicountry research consortium as the India Country Lead - ‘DECCMA’ (www.deccma.com), ‘ESPA Delta’ (www.espadelta.net) and ‘Deltas’ project of Belmont Forum (delta.umn.edu). Natural Hazards Management is my another area of interest, with journal publications and two books from Springer and Sage Publishing.
